CyArk is an organization dedicated to the protection of culture and history across the globe. Working in over 40 countries across seven continents, our mission is to reach the most precious sites left by our ancestors and to capture and protect these gifts and to share them with the world. By using the latest reality capture technologies, we are able to capture every detail of the sites and with the emergence of virtual reality technology we can share the experience of visiting these remarkable places with anyone in the world.
We are seeking an energetic and proven leader to oversee and execute reality capture projects across the globe. You will lead a small team of photographers and technicians with the primary objective of capturing superior data of heritage sites through the use of laser scanning, photogrammetry, and aerial data acquisition. You will interact with staff, clients, heritage and government agencies. Being decisive and able to work through a multitude of variables on-site is key to this positions success.

• Coordinate with heritage managers to determine scopes of work
• Coordinate expedition logistics including travel, security, visas, customs etc
• Oversee a small team of reality capture professionals and execute heritage documentation projects across the globe
• Ensure all project data is properly organized and archived
• Serve as an ambassador for cultural heritage documentation

• Bachelor’s degree and proven managerial experience (3+ years)
• Strong technical knowledge of laser scanning and survey a plus
• Strong technical knowledge of photography, photogrammetric principles a plus
• Strong attention to detail and repeatable processes
• Demonstrated organizational and logistical skills for managing travel and deadlines
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with emphasis on interacting with diverse cultural groups, government officials and local populations
• Knowledge of cultural heritage preservation; ability to communicate CyArk’s mission and enhance public understanding of our cause
• Valid Passport and Driver’s license
• Multilingual capabilities a plus

CyArk is seeking current undergraduate or graduate level college students for volunteer opportunities. Interested applicants will assist the digital production team with research and creating multimedia experiences in a wide array of heritage projects around the world.

CyArk is committed to encouraging and supporting interns in their professional growth by offering unique digital preservation training alongside mentorship in a variety of projects.

Interns should be self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking, time management, and attention to detail. An interest in cultural heritage, digital media, and archaeology is also highly desired.
