Data Production Specialist (Part Time Internship-6 Months)

Introduction
CyArk is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with the mission to capture, archive, and share photo realistic and spatially accurate 3D data of the world’s heritage sites. It is our vision to ignite wonder, curiosity, and a shared understanding of these remarkable places for people today as well as for posterity.

We are seeking people who are passionate about historical sites, inspired by the cultural impact they represent, and enthusiastic about their ongoing preservation and discovery.


Responsibilities
• CyArk has amassed an archive of 200 sites in 40 countries, with more sites being added on a regular basis. Data Production Specialists manage and process 3D point cloud and photogrammetric data into photorealistic 3D models, as well as producing CAD drawings, GIS data layers, and other architectural and engineering deliverables.
• Data inventory, organization, and management
• Registration and alignment of 3D point cloud and photogrammetric datasets
• Processing photorealistic 3D models
• 3D Point Cloud, image, and polygonal model preparation, cleanup, and editing
• Documentation and research as required
• Maintain professional processing equipment and working space

Requirements
Working with high-precision, photorealistic 3D datasets requires comfort using high-end data processing workstations and professional 2D / 3D CAD and modeling software applications. Applicants should be able to demonstrate their desire and aptitude to learn a variety of software in a complex workflows.

• Experience with CAD, 3D modeling/ design software
• Experience with advanced photo editing software such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Energy and passion for working with emerging technologies
• Photogrammetry, 3D Point Cloud, and GIS processing experience a plus
