Global cultural heritage is being lost faster than it can be documented; and a new cultural heritage archive, CyArk, is working to slow this loss.

Utilizing proprietary technology for 3D laser scans, CyArk is able to quickly document, archive, and provide online access to participating heritage sites. Currently 9 sites, ranging from Mayan Tikal to Pompeii, are available online; users can browse an interactive map and all associated media.

For heritage professionals and the interested public, media is viewable in both traditional formats (architectural drawings, reports, and models), and newer intuitive formats (3D point cloud models, photo panoramas, and animations).
