On November 20th, at the Stanley Mosk Library on the Capital Mall in Sacramento I had the honor of excepting the Governor's Award for Historic Preservation on behalf of CyArk.
The award was presented by California's State Historic Preservation Officer, Carol Roland-Nawi, Ph.D and Acting Director of California State Parks, Lisa Mangat.
This award is the only official preservation award presented by the State of California to worthy recipients in recognition of outstanding achievements in the field of historic preservation.

This year, as in previous years, the Office of Historic Preservation received an impressive and diverse number of nominations for the Governor's Historic Preservation Awards. In all, eleven nominees were selected by an independent jury, and approved by the Governor, to receive awards for 2014. The awardees include projects and organizations from throughout the state and highlight grass roots, community-based endeavors as well as larger, multi-agency efforts.
CyArk is honored to be recognized alongside so many other great
organizations and projects working on behalf of California’s cultural heritage.
