Get ready for a trip around the world, in far less than 80 days.

Thursday night (October 6), CyArk will be opening our archive and transporting people around the world through the power of Virtual Reality.

This is Heritage and VR like you've never seen it before!

Join us for an exclusive public demo in the Fisher Bay Observatory Room. Get ready for a whirlwind trip as we teleport you from San Francisco to Buddhist Temples in Myanmar, sites in Ancient Greece and to the top of Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.

Bagan, Myanmar: Explore the one of the thousands of Buddhists temples at Bagan constructed during the 12th Century

Ancient Corinth, Greece: Explore the fountain built around a natural spring at Corinth, the favored drinking place of mythical winged horse Pegasus

Mount Rushmore, USA: Experience the monument from the perspective of the 400 carvers working on the monument during the Great Depression.

This event is one night only--don't miss your chance!

Tickets are available on the Exploratorium website.

The CyArk VR experience will be available to all attendees of the After Dark event at the Exploratorium.  CyArk is a non-profit organization based in Oakland CA who works alongside local experts to document, archive and share the world’s cultural heritage.  CyArk uses lasers, drones and virtual reality to bring history to life in a new way. CyArk will be showcasing these virtual reality experiences as part of a larger educational program to connect people to places around the world.

The Exploratorium is a public learning laboratory exploring the world through science, art, and human perception. Its mission is to create inquiry-based experiences that transform learning worldwide. Its vision is a world where people think for themselves and can confidently ask questions, question answers, and understand the world around them.
