The "Ukrainian Heritage Digitization and Dissemination Initiative" (UHDDI) program is supported by the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation and aims to standardize heritage documentation practices across Ukraine and equip institutions with training and cutting-edge technology. In 2023, CyArk began the first phase of UHDDI and partnered with Ukrainian NGO Archaïc to deliver a training program focused on documenting endangered museum collections. This educational effort engaged 13 cultural heritage professionals from three museums across Ukraine. The training took place at Jagiellonian University in Poland, where participants received specialized instruction and were equipped with the necessary tools for high-quality documentation. Following their training, these experts returned to Ukraine, documenting over 180 historical artifacts, including a notable collection of shipwrecks. The results of their meticulous work have been made publicly available and downloadable on the OpenHeritage3D.org platform.
