VIDEO: Documenting the Eastern Qing Tombs, China

This following video, produced by Historic Scotland, shows the Scottish Ten team digitally documenting the expansive Eastern Qing Tombs in northeast China. Using laser scanning technology to capture some of the monuments of the Tombs, the work was conducted throughout November 2012.
The Eastern Qing Tombs, or Qing Dong Ling, was in use from 1666 to 1911 as the final resting place of some of China's best known emperors. The Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties were designated as a World Heritage Site in 2000, siting the criteria of a "masterpiece of human creative genius".
The Eastern Qing Tombs site was the third of five international sites to be documented by the Scottish Ten project. In April the international team will convene in Sydney, Australia for the fourth international project, the Sydney Opera House.
